ARC Interest Groups

ARC supports the programs and activities of Interest Groups of staff members from member institutions as a vehicle for increasing cooperation among ARC members. Interest Groups come together for discussion and professional development on topics of mutual interest.

Current interest groups with officers and Director Advocates:

Director Advocate - vacant

Reference and Information Literacy
Chair - Sara Marks, Fitchburg State College
Secretary - Ellen Madigan Pratt, Mt. Wachusett Community College
Director Advocate - Bob Foley

Customer Service
Chair - Vacant
Director Advocate - Jim Douglas

Archives and Special Collections
Chair - Ellen More, UMass Medical School;
ARC Steering Committee Representative: Mott Linn
Director Advocate: Debby Aframe

Additional Interest Groups may be formed at the request of any five staff members with approval of the Steering Committee.

Interest group membership

Interest Group membership is open to any interested party from any ARC library. CMRLS members who are not ARC members are also invited to participate, as appropriate.

Because of the cross-functional nature of the Interest Groups, it is expected that members may move from one Interest Group to another, depending on projects, programs and individual interests. Communication will take place on ARC-L, and any reports will be made available on blogs provided through the ARC website at
http://www.cmrls.org/arc/arc_discussion_lists.htm
