Friends of CMRLS

Provide advocacy and support for “Your Library’s Library” when you become a member of the Friends of CMRLS. Friends of CMRLS will:
- support legislative advocacy
- sponsor educational opportunities for library champions
- enhance peer-to-peer networking
The Central Massachusetts Regional Library System (CMRLS) promotes and supports resource sharing, professional development, collaboration, and innovation among all types of libraries in Central Massachusetts. CMRLS services strengthen member libraries and staff, creating a collaborative network essential to a high quality and accessible library services for those who live, work, or study in the region.
CMRLS is an efficient private, non-profit organization. For every dollar spent in FY 2006, CMRLS provided $8.83 in services to help libraries serve their communities, including:
- Millions of magazine articles from thousands of magazines delivered electronically to the library, office or home computer
- Books shipped from the library of one community to readers in another
- Professional training and advice to keep local librarians in the know
