Did you know that CMRLS has a huge assortment of equipment that you can borrow? If you don't have professional equipment at your disposal, it can be tough to make a professional presentation or hold a special event. We can help! Member libraries may borrow some or all of the following equipment for library-related programs and events. Please note that equipment loans are for library use only. We include instructions with all items.
NOTE: Please do not put any equipment in the white delivery totes. Instead, hand everything directly to the driver. This will greatly expedite the delivery of these items to the next library. Thanks!
Video Game Gear

Wii Game System
Nintendo Wii Game System comes with Wii console, power cord, cable, 1 Wii sensor bar, 2 Wii remotes, 2 nunchuck controllers, 1 Wii Sports Game, operation manual, and quick start guide. Can be used for YA special events at your library. Available for a 7 full-day loan period.

Sony PlayStation2 Console
Sony PlayStation2 Console comes with memory card. Use with Dance, Dance Revolution or Guitar Hero, or use on its own for other games.
We offer 6 Sony PlayStation2 Consoles for loan. They are available for a 7 full-day loan period in your library.
Dance, Dance Revolution
Dance, Dance Revolution comes with Sony Playstation2 console, game CD and dance pad.
We offer 2 Dance, Dance Revolution games and accompanying accessories for loan. Available for a 7 full-day loan period in your library.

Nintendo DS Lite Handheld Game Kits
Nintendo DS Lites are small, handheld game units that your audience can use while they are waiting for a turn at Guitar Hero or DDR. They come in sets of two, with two game units and two power cords.
Each game unit does not need its own game cartridge - players can play against each other wirelessly! Be sure to request the games you want on the Equipment Request Form.
We have three Nintendo DS Lite Handheld Game Kits for loan. They are available for a 7 full-day loan period in your library.

Guitar Hero
Guitar Hero game comes with Sony Playstation2 console, game CD and 2 guitars. Guitar Hero may be played individually or by two players in head-to-head competition. Can be used for YA special events at your library.
We offer 3 Guitar Hero games and accompanying accessories for loan. Be sure to specify whether you would like Guitar Hero II or Guitar Hero III on the Request Form. Guitar Hero is available for a 7 full-day loan period in your library.
Karaoke Revolution Game Kit
Don't pay a Karaoke DJ hundreds of dollars to run a karaoke event at your library! Borrow our Karaoke Revolution kit instead! The kit includes the Karaoke Revolution - American Idol Edition game,with two USB microphones. You will need a Playstation2 console to play the game.

SanDisk Sansa MP3 Player
Use for music and audiobook downloading. Libraries must supply their own earbuds. We offer 2 SanDisk Sansa MP3 Players for loan.
Apple 30GB Video iPod
Use for music, audiobook and video downloading. Libraries must supply their own ear buds. Comes with the iPod and an iPod USB cable to attach the unit to a computer for downloading content. We offer 2 iPods for loan.
Amazon Kindle Wireless Reading Device
Handheld wireless reading device. Revolutionary electronic-paper display provides a sharp, high-resolution screen that looks and reads like real paper. Comes with books and other content pre-loaded. Includes Kindle wireless reader, book cover, USB adapter and power cord.

Zoom H2 Portable Digital Recorder
Use for recording meetings, podcasts, presentations, performances, and more. Comes with 4 GB storage, allowing for recordings up to six hours in default .WAV format or 100+ hours in .MP3.

Portable Public Address System - Anchor Liberty Sound System, Model MPB4500
Used for events where sound needs to be amplified. This system comes with the base unit and wireless lavaliere microphones (shown on top of the unit).
We offer 1 system with 2 clip-on lavaliere wireless microphones with transmitters for loan.
The following accessories may also be requested with this PA system or separately for other uses.

Use to keep track of the number of people entering your library. May be used for tracking numbers at special events or anytime.

Digital Video Camera
Canon GL1 digital video camera.
Uses MiniDV (DAT) tape cassettes (1 30-minute cassette included). May be used to record special events at your library.
We offer 1 digital video camera for loan.
Flip Video Camera
Small, easy-to-use video camera you can take almost anywhere! It's as easy to use as a regular camera, maybe easier. Records up to 60 minutes of audio and video, without any tapes to worry about - just download it to your computer and you're done! Comes with a USB cable, "video out" cable, instructions and AA batteries.

Set up on your library's property to advertise an upcoming book sale.
We offer 2 book sale signs for loan. Please be sure to include your desired message for the sign on the Equipment Request Form.
Book Sale Banners
String on the outside of your library building or across a road to advertise an upcoming book sale.
We offer 3 book sale banners for loan.
Equipment Loan Procedures
Advance notice of at least one week is strongly recommended. The nominal loan period for equipment is one week. Components are usually sent and returned via delivery, although some pieces must be picked up and returned.
A brief orientation session to electronic equipment at CMRLS HQ is suggested for all first time users, usually at the time of pickup.
Borrower is responsible for lost or damaged equipment.
