The Patrick/Murray Administration is asking agencies to hold public hearings on their FY2009 budget requests.
The Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners will hold its hearing on Thursday, October 4, 2007, at 1:00PM at the Worcester Public Library. All members of the Massachusetts library community and library users are invited to attend.
For complete information please see the press release posted on the MBLC Web site last Friday at http://mblc.state.ma.us/mblc/news/2007/nr070921.php.
The Board encourages everyone interested in the MBLC budget to attend the hearing and make their thoughts known. Written comment is strongly encouraged. Anyone wishing to comment but unable to attend may submit written comments as well.
Directions to the Worcester Public Library are at http://www.worcpublib.org/about/main.html.
Please attend the hearing and talk about how cuts to Regional services will affect your library. If you are unable to attend, written comments are strongly encouraged. Budget projections for FY09 are dire, and every voice helps!
